How to Get to Kumaga -Makgadikgadi National Park in Botswana

March 21, 2012

Hello Everyone-Dumelang ( in my mother -language)

This was a spontaneous trip among us working collegues, just the day before our trip we were dreaming and wishing that we could go for a field trip  to  kumaga for those who dont know ,kumaga is situated  162 km east of maun   however to our surprise the following morning when we go to our office , we were  told to be ready for the trip.

we left  the hot and sunny  Maun town and headed towards Kumaga. just when we were half way through our trip approaching the animal gate control( everyone driving to Maun or  from Maun passes this gate)…..the  weather changed  dramatically it began pouring by the time we got to Khumaga Ferry we were soaked wet.finally after we crossed on our 4×4 car we got to the gate of the Department of Wildlife and National Parks.Road conditions in Kumaga are generally good, however during rainy seasons the roads are difficult to mauve around.
